Gradually, I realized that my blog has turned into a food blog. And along with that, comes the gradual yet very noticeable pounds that I’ve put on. For that reason, I don’t see myself posting on lookbook any time soon. My wardrobe needs an overhaul–from size 29/30s to 31/31s, and from small to medium. Oh well.

So on to this new found restaurant, Mo Mong. As I’ve mentioned before, one of the many reasons why I love the Montrose area is because they offer large varieties of restaurants to choose from. Mo Mong claims to be a “vietnamese” restaurant but their menu is NOT limited to Pho’s, spring rolls, and vermicelli noodles. They feature traditional Asian family recipes (Cambodian, Singaporean, Thai, Chinese, Korean) with new twists.

We originally opted on dining outside and going for a natural ambiance, but the mosquitoes weren’t so cooperative. (props to my iPhone 5 for the panoramic photo) 🙂

Grilled Pork Spring Rolls on peanut sauce! Yum!

Beef Saigon is a delight!

See the pounds I was talking about?

LOL. Obviously, they enjoy eating devouring their food. I got myself the combination soup. I needed to warm my guts! haha

Chicken Curry. A bit too “soupy” for my liking. I wanted a thicker texture curry, like the Thai ones, but it isn’t too bad. We got this to go and it was actually a hit for breakfast when I had nothing else to eat. It tasted like “Tinola” with a couple of teaspoon of yellow curry.

I can’t believe this restaurant has been serving Houston for almost 10 years yet I have just discovered it now. Where have I been? haha. Anyways, you guys should go try this place when you’re around Houston.
